David Allen Brown, J.D.
Area of expertise: High Tech Estate Planning for Large Estates (Transactions include QTIPs, Generation Skipping Trusts, QPRTs, GRATs, IDITs and Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts.)

David Brown has been practicing in the estate and tax planning area of the law in Orange County since 1975 when he was admitted to the State Bar of California. He is recognized as a leading authority in the area and has lectured for hundreds of professionals and financial personnel throughout California. He has been a firm believer in the team approach to bring the best possible service to his clients by working alongside financial planners, agents, CPAs. David Brown is married with five children – a son who is an attorney in Texas, two daughters in college, and two daughters still at home.

Richard E. Streza, J.D.
Area of expertise: Business Tax Liability Structure and Management for Closely Held Businesses (Transactions include Corporations, S-Corps, LLCs, FLPs and Mergers and Acquisitions)

Dick Streza received his Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and was admitted to the Bar in 1982. As partner in charge of the Business Planning Department of the firm, he manages corporate matters for about 700 businesses. He has lectured extensively on Business, Tax, and other closely held business issues throughout the Western United States and Hawaii. He works with clients, their CPA, Financial Advisor and other Professionals to provide the best counsel and follow through in business transactions, structuring and the ongoing operation of closely held businesses. Dick and his wife and two teenage daughters reside on a mini-ranch where they enjoy their various pets.

Vanessa J. Gregor, J.D., LL.M.
Area of expertise: Estate and Trust Administration, Estate and Gift taxation, IRS Representation

Vanessa received her Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and continued the graduate level study of taxation and estate planning at the University of Florida College of Law. There she received her Master of Law in Taxation (LL.M.). Vanessa spent several years at a "Big 6" accounting firm as a manager of Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Southern California Estate Gift and Trust practice. Vanessa joined the firm in 1998 and is further developing the estate and trust administration practice as well as assisting with tax planning and resolving IRS matters.

Anita K. Nyhuis, J.D., LL.M.
Area of expertise: Estate Planning

Anita began working with David Allen Brown as his office manager and paralegal in 1978. Anita received her Juris Doctor degree from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California, was admitted to the practice of law in 1989, and continued to work at the firm. After relocating to her hometown in Holland, Michigan, she continued the graduate level study of taxation at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan, where she received her LL.M. degree in Taxation. Anita rejoined Brown and Streza in 1999. Over the last ten years, she has presented estate planning seminars for the general public and for various investment groups and is currently a speaker at Brown & Streza’s Basic Estate Planning seminars.

Vincent J. Le Pore III, J.D.
Area of expertise: Business Law and Transactional and Labor Matters

Vince joined our firm in April 2000 assisting in the Business Department. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of California San Diego with the magna cum laude distinction and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. Vince was admitted to both the State Bar of California and the State Bar of Texas in 1982. Following Dallas law firm experience in business planning, real estate and transactional matters, Vince served as the in-house General Counsel for major energy and real estate related companies in Southern California for the past 15 years where his responsibilities included overseeing the companies' human resource departments and labor law compliance.
