GENERATION SKIPPING

Inherited estates are frequently lost in a short period of time to creditors, divorces or other mishaps of the younger generation.

Generation Skipping can make your children/heirs virtually CREDITOR AND LAWSUIT FREE for life. It is a modification of your trust that gives these benefits to your children/heirs:

    1. Your children/heirs ALONE may manage the trust for themselves.
    2. Your children/heirs may spend all of the INCOME.
    3. Your children/heirs may spend all of the PRINCIPAL.

Simply put, it will feel to your children/heirs exactly like they own the trust (assets within the trust), but the assets will always be in the title of your trust. Consequently, they are not technically the "legal" owner, and as a result, they can never lose the estate to divorces, lawsuits, auto accidents, etc.

The "frosting on the cake" of generation skipping is that when your children/heirs in turn pass away, this estate passes ESTATE TAX FREE to your grandchildren/children of your heirs. This process may continue if your children/heirs desire for up to five generations.

The net result of generation skipping is that THE FAMILY HAS MORE FINANCIAL SECURITY because we know less can be lost to lawsuits, divorces and estate tax.
